Experience
I tutored in high school my junior and senior year in marine biology, chemistry, and calculus. A couple of my teachers asked me to be their teaching assistant and work with the students who were having difficulty. I really enjoy helping people and am very patient. I like to go over information logically so it is easier to retain and access at a later time. I have taken many biology classes in different areas; physiology (plant/animal), marine biology, neuroscience, ecology, evolution, genetics. I really enjoy math, I was going to be a math major but decided to go a different direction, and am proficient through multi-variable calculus/early transcendentals. I also played collegiate water polo, so time management has become a large part of my success in college. Allocating the correct amount of time for each class is the best way I have found to succeed in a class. I have tutored three high school sophomores/juniors in math and chemistry. I have also tutored a few UCSC students in calculus. I like to tutor students consistently and not for last minute studying before an exam. I am now a teacher at a school a non-public, non-profit school for children with autism and autism related disorders.
