I earned a bachelor's degree in Speech and Theater at Middle Tennessee State University, and I graduated summa cum laude and Honors with Distinction. My theater-based background helps me be a great tutor, because the theater is a collaborative environment where people must work together and adapt to each other's weaknesses and strengths. I can use this experience to help me adapt my teaching style to a student's individual needs. My college majors also helped me build good reading, writing, and editing skills. However, I also enjoyed my astronomy, chemistry, and biology courses in college, as well, and I know that a career in science is also a great goal for any young person today. I enjoy tutoring, because I have passions for both learning and working with other people. When I tutor, I strive to help my students understand their challenging courses, improve their study skills, and increase confidence in themselves and their learning abilities. I enjoy helping young students improve their educations and lives in any way I can, so I am willing to tutor any subject that will help them achieve their goals. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by running, rock climbing, and practicing yoga. I also like to paint.
