Education

I have a Masters Degree in Education from Rollins College. I've taught Kindergarten, first and third grade before making the transition to a role as a national reading consultant, coach and trainer which I've done for the past 17 years. My primary role has been to support "at-risk" schools in their ambitions to reach their student achievement goals so I've worked with very needy children with little to zero literacy background prior to coming to school.

Experience

I'm a reading and whole-school reform specialist and I've tutored extensively; adults and children. I've traveled all over the country and worked with schools and districts in almost every state. As mentioned prior, I have a Masters in Ed. and I LOVE to learn so I'm always keeping up with the latest research. I'm also a Hospice volunteer and I work with people who are grieving and can't seem to find their way back to a happy life after the loss of a loved one.
